Some things never stay buried.”

THE HOUSE ON BLUE ASH RIVER is a slow-burning mystery set in rural Kentucky, following Thomas Whitlock, a devoted husband who built the life he promised his wife, Elena — a handcrafted home on family land overlooking the Blue Ash River, stability for their two children, and a quiet future. But when Elena develops a rare degenerative illness requiring constant care, Thomas discovers the retirement he spent decades contributing to never existed. Fake statements. Erased records. A lifetime of labor disappeared.

As Thomas searches for answers, the trail leads back to his estranged father and a secretive corporate network tied to Kentucky land rights, generational contracts, and a “legacy fund” built from silence. When truth surfaces, family loyalty, history, and survival collide at the river that has always watched them.

Thomas must choose between protecting what remains of his family — or uncovering a truth that may take him with it.
