Grassroots to Greatness
| The film follows the discovery of three talented young girls, Tionge, Abigail and Ainet, as they navigate new opportunities, societal expectations, and the pressures of professional football. Alongside their stories, the filmmakers explore the dual role of Ken Mthuzi as both benefactor and political actor, campaigning for a seat in Malawian parliament, while questioning their own influence as observers and participants. Through the girls’ and the politician’s journeys, the film captures the potential of football and politics as a catalyst for change of individual lives and community development. |
